20 Weeks! {'Bump'date}.

Now that we're halfway to meeting this little nugget, I thought I might as well start doing the promised weekly 'bump'date posts. So, here we go...

20 Weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along:   20 weeks, 1 day - halfway! Baby boy is officially 50% cooked.

Baby's Size:   According to babycenter, he is approximately the length of a banana and weighs somewhere around 10 ounces.

Total Weight Gain:   Up a total of 6 lbs at my 16 week appointment. My guess would be somewhere around 10 pounds at this point (hopefully no more!)

Maternity Clothes?   A few. Starting to wear more preggo pants now to accommodate the growing bump. Still wearing a few pairs of pre-pregnancy bottoms, but only with a belly band for additional tummy room! Trying to wait until I get a little bigger to stock up on more maternity clothing - hoping some cuter stuff will be coming out for spring. Winter maternity clothing is blah.

Best Moment This Week:   Receiving the bookshelf for baby boy's room! Yay! (But then being disappointed, as it was damaged during delivery and will have to be returned. Boo.)

Gender:   It's a boy! And we do have a name - which I will share soon.

Movement:   Think I'm feeling some little nudges here and there, but it's hard to tell. Hoping to really start feeling baby boy move in the coming week or two.

Food Cravings:   Carbs. Of any variety. Fruit. Gummy bears. Applesauce. Sour cream 'n onion potato chips. Cranberry juice. Cheese.

Food Aversions:   Anything coffee scented - gag. Vegetable cream cheese (which I usually love). Fresh garlic. Cream sauces.

What I Miss:   Coca Cola (the caffeine!) My waistline. Turkey sandwiches (the deli meat!) Getting through a whole day without being tired. Taking our evening walk without feeling winded going up the hills. Shopping - for regular clothes.

Sleep?   Sleeping has become a little more difficult lately. It's hard to get comfortable, and I almost never sleep all the way through the night anymore. Thankfully, I have more energy now that I'm in second trimester than I did during the first. But, I can tell you right now, third trimester will not be fun.

What I'm Looking Forward To:   Our 20 week appointment this week! Can't wait to see our little man on ultrasound, hear his heartbeat and get an update on how he's growing.

Oh my goodness! You are so cute! I think whenever I'm pregnant I'll be the one who gets huge all over and is totally not cute. I know it must feel great to be at the halfway mark!
