Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 23 weeks! Only one week to go 'til the 6 month mark.
Baby's Size: According to Babycenter, baby boy weighs just over a pound - the size of a mango. He is around 11 inches long.
Total Weight Gain: As of an unplanned OB appointment last week (everything's fine -just had a little concern that needed to be checked out), the weight gain has spiked to a grand total of almost 18 pounds. Up from less than 11 pounds at my 20 week appointment. Yes, I did gain over 6 pounds in 3 weeks. And no, I was not super thrilled to hear that. I'm honestly not sure where the weight is hiding, except in my tummy right now. But the scale doesn't lie...
Maternity Clothes? Yep. Still wearing most of my pre-preggo dresses, tops and sweaters, but all of my pants (except for two pairs of jeans) are maternity bottoms now. Though I wouldn't say maternity pants are my most favorite thing ever, I do love the belly bands on them - so much more comfortable than zips and buttons.
Best Moment This Week: B feeling baby boy move for the first time! So precious. And cleaning out the closet in what will be the nursery. It had been used as a spare shoe closet for all of my out-of-season footwear and as catchall for hangers and other odds and ends. Over the weekend, the hubs - in all his handyman glory - added shelves to our master bedroom closet, so I was able to move almost all of my shoes in there. We now have a real closet for our little man. And it's already starting to fill up with precious little clothes and toys. We need to get in there and scrub it out and repaint it before we buy anything else that needs to be stored.
Gender: It's a boy! Promise to share the name soon:)
Movement: Feeling little bumps, wiggles and nudges throughout the day. He seems to be more active at night and around meal times. Loving that I am finally getting to experience his movements!
Food Cravings: Potato chips and french fries. Blueberries. Pineapple. Cran-cherry juice. Bread. Cereal. Sweetarts.
Food Aversions: Seafood. Onion, garlic, caramel and coffee scents.
What I Miss: Sleeping on my back and/or my tummy. Coca Cola. My waistline.
Sleep? Seem to be sleeping better this week (Hallelujah!) I have been sleeping through the night for the last couple of nights, and am hoping that this trend continues.
What I'm Looking Forward To: Picking out paint samples, which we are finally going to do this weekend. I can't wait to get the nursery painted so we can move forward with ordering and setting up furniture. This weekend, we are going to look for dressers that can be used in the nursery. Hoping we find something that looks nice and is within our budget. Decorating can be so expensive!

Oh My goodness. You are adorable. I can totally see the "pop" (don't take that wrong), but you are so freakin cute! You're literally glowing in your pictures. Love it!
Love the gray and black combination-- you are one cute preggo mama!
found your blog through my friend valerie! Congrats on the baby boy. They are SIMPLY THE BEST EVER!
I wrote a post for new moms (just had my first little guy in October) It's under the label mom stuff. I think it might be REALLY beneficial for you. If so, share it! I want new moms to be fully aware of what to expect.
Love the blog, following along:)

I've always heard babies move less during the day when we are working/running errands because our moving is kind of like rocking/soothing them to sleep and lay peacefully. At night - when we sit still - then they wake up because they snoozed all day! Which then keeps the Mama up! LOL
You look so dang cute!! :) And I can't believe you're 6 months already!
you are the cutest! & don't you worry about that weight gain! I was exactly the same!
can't wait to hear his name :)
You are such a beautiful momma!
P.S. Is your gray top a maternity top? I'm not preggo, but I'd LOVE to own one just like it!! :)
