Happy Heart Day, lovely ladies!
I hope that you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day. After last year's debacle, I am just praying for a calm day here in the office...
Per the usual, B and I will be celebrating our last V-day as a family of two in a quiet and low-key kind of way this evening. We can't stand the crowds and prix fixe menus that run rampant in our town on holidays, so we have chosen to skip the hustle and bustle in favor of a romantic meal a deux in the cozy confines of our own sweet abode. This year, we will be toasting our love with sparkling grape juice instead of champagne and enjoying the feeling of our little one celebrating with us - most likely with a few well-timed kicks here and there to remind us of his presence. Knowing my husband, there will be some sort of chocolate involved in our celebration, along with a card that will be sure to make me cry.
We will probably venture out this weekend for a date night involving a restaurant and, if I am lucky enough to convince the hubs to let me drag him along, a screening of the newest, sappy Nicholas Sparks movie, 'Safe Haven.' But for today, we will just plan to enjoy each others' company. Something that we do each and every day, not just today. But something for which I am even more thankful for than normal this year.
Drink a little bubbly for me this year, girls!
Cheers to Valentine's Day and happy hearts - whatever that means for you.
