29 Weeks {'Bump'date}.

Well, another week has come and gone. They really are just slipping right on by now - as evidenced by the fact that my 'bump'date is a day later than usual. The hubs and I still have a lot to do, and the time is getting shorter and shorter in which to get it done.

Here's the 'bump'date for the week:

29 Weeks!

Sorry for the less-than-stellar picture quality. My phone's camera just isn't good.
Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along:   29 weeks, 2 days! Only 10 weeks and change left to go!

Baby's Size:   According to Babycenter, baby boy is the size of butternut squash, weighs around 2 and a half pounds and is a smidge over 15 inches long. He is about 73% cooked and growing.

Total Weight Gain:   After a period of no weight gain for three weeks, followed by a spurt of 7 pounds over the last 3 and a half weeks, I am just hoping for an approximate 1 pound a week gain from here on out. So far, the weight gain is right at 25 pounds. I have another 'weigh in' and OB appointment next week, so I guess we'll see.

Maternity Clothes?   Yep. After a weekend of 70+ degree temperatures, I thought spring was here. And was slightly panicked, as I have not purchased any lightweight maternity clothing. But, luck was on my side and the cooler weather returned with a vengeance this week. It looks like I'll be getting some more use out of the winter maternity clothing I purchased, as we'll be lucky to make it into the 60's through next week. Spring, where are you?

Best Moment This Week:   Receiving our crib mattress! It was a gift from B's grandmother and we were so thrilled when it showed up on our doorstep this week. The crib looks a little more welcoming now with the mattress, sheet and the adorable monogrammed crib quilt. I can't believe that there will soon be a little baby boy in it as well!

Gender:   Baby boy! Little Caleb Monroe.

Movement:  Baby boy moves pretty consistently throughout the day. When I am busy and moving around, he tends to stay quiet. But if I've been sitting for a while, or laying down, I can feel him start to kick and wiggle in there. And sometimes, he'll press a little hand or foot (or head or elbow) so hard against my tummy, I can see and feel the tiny little bump it makes under my skin. Our fellow small group members got to see Caleb moving around in my tummy during our small group meeting Tuesday night. He was all over the place - must have been doing a little jig in there. Let's just say our friends were very entertained!

Food Cravings:   Strawberry Fig Newtons. Potato chips. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Dole fruit cups. Fruit - this week it's green grapes. Great Grains cereal.

Food Aversions:  Onion, garlic, caramel and coffee scents - the old reliables that have managed to disgust me throughout the entire pregnancy thus far.

What I Miss:   Walking/running/moving without any joint or back pain. The pregnancy books weren't joking when they said that at this point in the pregnancy there will be a lot of pressure on the ligaments and lower back. Sometimes it takes a minute just for me to stand up straight after getting out of a chair or off the couch. Which is definitely something that this active momma is not used to. Having to slow down has been hard. And trying to soothe the pain? Well, good luck. There are very few options available for stretching to try to get right at the lower back pain. I know this because I tried. And achieved no satisfaction whatsoever. The 'cat-cow' yoga pose is probably the best option for third trimester stretches. Check that out here if you're interested.

Sleep?   Can't complain too much this week. Though I haven't been sleeping great, I also haven't been waking up every hour like I was last week. So I am thankful for that at least!

What I'm Looking Forward To:   B's Mawmaw coming this Sunday to do some work in the nursery. She has completed our custom window valances, curtains, crib skirt and pillows and I CANNOT wait to see it all put together in Caleb's room. So far, B and I have painted the room and furniture and put the crib together. But that's it. The room has just been sitting, waiting for the next steps in the decorative process. Once we have all of the bedding and draperies in there, it will be a lot easier to figure out what we still need! And to picture our precious son in there. So excited:)

First of all, that dress is SO cute on you! You look super happy in these pics this week! Adorable, as usual :)
Hopefully the yoga stuff helps to stretch/relieve some pressure for you. I can only imagine how annoying that feeling is! :(
